Great Western Section

Welcome to the website for the Great Western Section of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club. This section is named after Brunel’s railway and shipbuilding that brought wealth and prosperity, mobility and trade to the West Country. Any RREC Member is welcome to join our Section and there is no additional fee for doing so. We support the Section's activities by adding a small admin fee to the cost of our events.

The Club is the second youngest Section in the United Kingdom; it was formed in 1986 and  celebrates its 34th anniversary in 2020

The Section covers an area from South Gloucestershire to Mid Somerset and from the Welsh Border across to the outskirts of Swindon

The Section runs a wide range of events throughout the year and provides members with opportunities to enhance their knowledge of and discuss their cherished cars as well as to visit places of interest and meet like-minded people. We welcome members and their families from all Sections of the Club and hope you will join us at some of our Events, details of which appear in the "Events" section of this website.

Newsletters are issued by email, free of charge, or post throughout the year and you can also follow what is happening in the Section via this website. If you would like to add anything to the pages on this website, please contact Committee Member Neil Sturgess via the dedicated email address which is This email address is being protected from spambots. Much of the development work on the site has been carried out by Mr Steve Day who, although not an RREC Member, is a keen Classic car enthusiast and long-tem friend of Neil's. He has vast experience of designing websites for Car Clubs as well as other organisations and we are extremely grateful to him for the work which he has put in, and will continue to put in. The site will be developed and improved over time, so suggestions will always be welcome. In particular, we would welcome articles for the "People and Cars" section of the site, so if you have a story and/or about restoration, epic journeys or any other aspect of Rolls-Royce and Bentley ownership, and you would like to share it with others, do let us know. You should be aware that this website is available to general view, not only to RREC Members, so please be careful not to include confidential or sensitive information which may put you or your property at risk. By submitting articles for publication, you are confirming that you have done so.

‘The West is Best ‘- come and join us and we will prove it!
